The faculty of the Division provides
24 hour/day consultative services for inpatients at SFGH. There
is a focus of clinical care and clinical research expertise in
infectious disease, pleural disease, interstitial lung disease
and asthma.
- Pulmonary consultation for patients
with known or undiagnosed lung diseases
- Diagnostic procedures, including bronchoscopy,
pleural biopsy, pleurodesis,
sleep screening studies, sputum induction, physiologic testing
- Highly specialized care for tuberculosis
(including multidrug resistant), asthma, pleural disease, interstitial
lung disease, sleep disorders, occupational lung disease
