Dr. Lorri Leard received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her M.D. from the University of California San Diego. After completing her Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, she came to the University of California San Francisco for her Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship. She completed an additional subspecialty fellowship in Lung Transplantation at the University of California San Francisco and joined the faculty in 2006.
Her major academic interests include Lung Transplantation, Interventional Bronchoscopy, and Lung Cancer. She cares for patients on the Lung Transplant service, as a pulmonary consultant in Moffitt-Long Hospital, and at the Mt. Zion Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Research Interests
Her current research interests include development and implementation of a lung cancer screening protocol at UCSF, studying the benefit of lung transplantation for patients with Bronchoalveolar Carcinoma, and evaluating complications of single lung transplantation.
