Nirav Bhakta: 2023 Master Clinician in the Department of Medicine
Dr. Nirav Bhakta was named a 2023 Department of Medicine Master Clinician — one of five faculty members who are sought out by patients, peers, and trainees for their diagnostic reasoning, clinical skills, and desire to acquire and share new knowledge, as well as their ability to provide compassionate, equitable care to all patients.

“… Nirav delved into the case and immediately came up with several new ideas that might cause the low oxygen readings. He shared with us a Box folder of references that supported his analysis and wrote a detailed email outlining his clinical reasoning (which I of course quoted in my note). Remarkably, his analysis drew upon principles of lung physiology, basic genetics, cell biology and physics.”
